About Resound/Beltone

ReSound and Beltone hearing aids
ReSound and Beltone produce behind-the-ear and in-the-ear hearing aids. Behind the ear comes as Behind the ear (BTE) and Reciver-in-ear (RIE) where the difference is that RIE has the speaker in the ear canal and is thus slightly smaller behind the ear. The smallest hearing aids are In-ear models where the entire hearing aid fits in the ear canal.

- BTE (Behind-the-ear) is a hearing aid that rests behind the ear. The sound is transmitted via a sound tube with an individually molded insert that sits in the ear.
- RIE (Receiver-in-ear) a slightly smaller hearing aid that rests discreetly behind the ear. It is today the most common model of hearing aid where the speaker sits at the outermost part of the tube in the ear canal.
- ITE (In-the-ear) is the smallest model of hearing aids that fit completely in the ear. Often these come as individually molded inserts adapted to your ear canal.
