Widex hearing aids
Widex hearing aids are available in behind-the-ear models BTE as well as RIC. Reciver-in-canal (RIC) is a slightly more discreet behind-the-ear model where the speaker sits in the ear canal compared to Behind-the-ear (BTE) which has all the hearing technology in the hearing aid and is therefore slightly larger. Widex also manufactures in-ear (ITE) hearing aids that sit completely in the ear canal.
We offer all accessories for your Widex hearing aid. We sell the popular NanoCare wax filter and Ear-Tip domes that work with most Widex hearing aids. Ask your audiologist which accessories are right for your ears and hearing aid.- BTE (Behind-the-ear) is a hearing aid that rests behind the ear. Sound is transmitted through a sound tube with an individually moulded insert that sits in the ear.
- RIC (Receiver-in-canal) a slightly smaller hearing aid that rests discreetly behind the ear. It is now the most common model of hearing aid, with the speaker at the end of the tube in the ear canal.
- ITE (In-the-ear) is the smallest model of hearing aid that fits completely in the ear. Often these come as individually moulded inserts tailored to your hearing path.
